Karen.
Originally one of Alice's friends. Becomes someone she just kind of puts up with.
What I Like. She seems like fun.
What I Dislike. The snarky way she treats Alice in the older books.
Overall. She's okay.

Jill.
Karen's best friend. She's another of the once friends.
What I Like. I can't think of anything lol.
What I Dislike. The snark. She thinks she's better than everyone else.
Overall. I don't really like her.

Justin.
Jill's boyfriend. Liz's ex.
What I Like. Not sure he's barely mentioned.
What I Dislike. Just seems to go for the pretty girls.
Overall. I don't really have an opinion.

Brian.
Originally a friend of Alice's and Pam's ex.
What I Like. Nothing really.
What I Dislike. He turns out to be a douche.
Overall. I don't like him.

Penny.
Originally a friend of Alice's. Dates Patrick after he dumps Alice.
What I Like. I think she tries to be a good friend to Alice and is nice.
What I Dislike. They change the story about her. Alice is fine with her right after the breakup and then suddenly like a year later she isn't. It's always bugged me even when they become sort of friends again. Alice is a bitch to her even when Penny is nice. Bugs me too.
Overall. I like her just not her storylines.

Mark.
Pam's ex. Penny's boyfriend.
What I Like. He's not really ever mentioned so nothing.
What I Dislike. Nothing.
Overall. He's another one that's kind of just there.

There are a few little characters I've realized I missed. I will tell you about them now.

Amy.
Someone Alice pretends to like.
What I Like. She's nice. Not at all like they seem to think she is.
What I Dislike. The group seems to take their frustrations out on her when she doesn't deserve it.
Overall. Okay character. Sweet.

Lori.
Alice's friend.
What I Like. She's caring and nice.
What I Dislike. Nothing really. She might kinda push Alice in the beginning when she likes her.
Overall. I wish she'd stand up for herself. I like her tho.

Faith.
Alice's stage crew friend.
What I Like. Nice girl. Different.
What I Dislike. Takes too much crap.
Overall. I wish she'd stand up for herself too.

Molly.
Alice's other stage crew friend.
What I Like. Nice girl. Friendly. Great.
What I Dislike. She has cancer. A few comments she makes.
Overall. I really like her.

Gwen.
One of Alice's best friends.
What I Like. She's nice, friendly, helpful, and funny.
What I Dislike. A comment or two she's made. Her sense of humor takes a bit to get use to.
Overall. I really like her.

Patrick.
The love of Alice's life.
What I Like. Smart, nice, always likes Alice.
What I Dislike. He leaves her. He isn't always understanding.
Overall. He's a good guy. I like him.

Sam.
Alice's boyfriend for a few books.
What I Like. He's sweet.
What I Dislike. He tries to break up Alice and Patrick in my opinion. I don't buy that Alice really likes him or their relationship either.
Overall. He's an okay guy. Wish they'd wrote him to do more than like Alice.

Next up are more minor characters like Penny, Brian, Mark, Karen, and Jill. Then I am taking a break to do a few interviews.

Character Studies: Uncle Milt, Aunt Sally, and Carol

Aunt Sally.
What I Like. She's caring, considerate, and loving.
What I Dislike. She's a bit of a worrywart and stuffy.
Overall. I like her okay but sometimes she bugs me.

Uncle Milt.
What I Like. He's a nice and wise guy.
What I Dislike. He's sort of a background character.
Overall. I like him.

Carol.
What I Like. She's sort of like an older sister to Alice and Lester. She's nice and supportive.
Dislike. I don't like the long running incest jokes between her and Les. I also don't like how old she acts around Alice sometimes.
Overall. I like her okay.

Up next are Gwen, Sam, and Patrick.

Character Studies: Ben, Sylvia, and Lester

Ben is Alice's dad.
Like. He's really there for Alice. Really good single parent.
Dislike. He kinda changes when he gets with her step-mom. He isn't mean to her but he expects her to adjust faster than she feels she can, and he isn't understanding when she can't.
Overall. He's a great dad. I like the positive male influence.

Sylvia is Alice's step-mom.
Like. She's really good to Alice before she gets married to her dad. Afterwards she's nice and she starts to try after awhile.
Dislike. She isn't as nice at first.
Overall. She's a nice person and she tries to have a relationship with Alice.

Lester is Alice's brother.
Like. He's a good guy. He has lots of different ladies over the course of time and he cares about them. He comes through for Alice at times.
Dislike. How he treats Alice at times. His annoyance at Liz and Pam.
Overall. I like the character.

Now on to the Alice series.
The series follows Alice throughout most of her school life.

Alice and Pamela and Elizabeth.

Alice.
What I Like. She's funny, fun, and loyal. She has nice adventures that I can kinda relate to. & she faces her problems well.
What I Dislike. She's kinda dumb to things. The Tony stuff.
Overall. I like the character.

Pamela Jones.
What I Like. she's wild and fun.
Dislike. She's kinda pushy.
Overall. I like the character but she bugs me at times.

Elizabeth Price.
What I Like. She's kinda innocent but she'll do fun things with the others.
What I Dislike. The other two treat her kinda like she's stupid even tho she gets experience first.
Overall. I like the character tho at times she bugs me.

Up next are Alice's dad, brother, and step-mom. They will followed by her aunt, uncle, and cousin.

Character Studies: Laura Spencer. Bobbie Spencer. Scott Baldwin.

Since I've been watching Bobbie Spencer has made her way back to Scottie. & been a support for the Spencers especially Luke.

Scottie has been back with Laura. & then chasing after Lucy. & then back with Bobbie. He was DA for awhile. Then he stepped down for Franco. Now he's Ava's lawyer.

Laura has been back with Scottie. & voice of reason and secret keeper for Nik and Liz.

What I Like. Laura is calm and mature. Bobbie seems nice.

What I Don't Like. Scottie in general. Laura not just telling Jason!

Overall. Scottie. Laura and Bobbie are okay but they're bland.

Interview With Alternative Mistress

Q: How long have you been writing?

A: I have been writing since my early childhood so about nine or ten years old. I have a very fond memory of me and a friend of mine sitting around my grandmothers old oaken table where my friend and I were planning out a play. Yes I mean the William Shakespeare type plays. We wanted to be the biggest and best play writes around, although we had no clue being only ten. I remember how we even tried to act it out but the lines were so bad. Utterly awful. I still have it somewhere but I dare not look at it for fear of embarrassment. Haha.
I took up Writing though full time two years ago as a serious career choice and it has been an interesting adventure. I love it! I have tried numerous jobs and I just don't feel comfortable in any of them. Writing is my life. theres nothing else I want to do! Its in my blood to create a world of escapism for the reader. Its my job to create a world where I can escape to when I am in need!

Q: What do you write about?

A: I write a variety of things. These range from blog posts to fanfiction!

Mainly I write Short stories in the Horror genre as I love all things dark and marcarb. To me, the scarier the story, the better the reaction you get and that is what I aim to do when I write a horror story.

It's a challenging genre to write for as you have so many names to live up too in the horror works. Stephen King for example and even Edgar Allan Poe! Those are two of the best horror writers that inspired me to write along with numerous others that I could name! My lsit is endless, but Poe is definitely my biggest inspiration!

I have also dabbled in romance and erotica. Ghost writing is also a new path that I am treading at the moment which I am finding to be very interesting. When I write I look to all avenues and so I came across the interest of ghost writing when I interviewed a fellow author on the same subject!

I have also written poetry and articles for numerous websites. I write for a webzine called Moonproject. One of my favourite subjects to talk about is actually hate crime against alternative people.

Q: Do you have any work getting ready to come out?

A: Yes. I am due to have an article published for an up coming magazine and also a short story that is being prepared to be published for this month! I am very excited!

Q: Who is your favorite author and why?

A: As I stated above, I have to say that Edgar Allan Poe is my favourite author! The way he writes is so hauntingly beautiful that his words just captivate my heart each time that I open a book of his!

My collection of his works are very old and tattered now from constant reading and use and the book always flops opens to the same page when I open it!

Without fail it falls open to The Raven!

This is my favourite work by Poe as I am so in love with it that I just cannot express fully in words what it does to me. Its so sad yet powerful and I can feel the emotion and the madness that is befalling admist the words on the page.

Poe's writing and my own are rather similar or so I like to think. He is a dark and marcarb writer and I too am these things!

He is by far my biggest inspiration!

Q: Are any of your characters based off of people in real life?

A: This is a great question!

I have to be honest, nearly all of my characters are mirror images of myself!

In a way that is a rather cliched thing to say as a lot of writers insert themselves into their characters that they create but with me I go all the way inside and live out the life of my character for a day or two before I begin to write.

I have not written any characters based off real people in my own fiction but I have a few ideas that I will be putting into action before long!

Q: What's your favorite thing that you've written?

A: I have many pieces that I am proud of but one of my most favourite pieces I have written has to be my newest short story that has been accepted. Its a horror story and I poured a lot of time and effort into it and it turned out great!

When I submitted like six months ago and did not get a reply I assumed that I had been rejected only to receive an email one evening saying that I had been selected for publication! I was so proud! And still am! By far that story is my favourite.

I wish I could give details but I am under contract not to give any details away until release!

Q: Do you have any goals related to writing?

A: I think every writer has a set goal when they first set out to become a writer!

My ambition is to simply write, to get better at it and to learn from all the mistakes that I will make in order to better my skills.

I want to go to University so I can study creative writing and gain more knowledge again. But the best way to learn is through writing continuously which is what I do every day non stop!

Eventually I would love to see a book of mine or a collection of short stories published in book form hit the shelves as all writers dream of. But the question, Will I stick out the hardships that the creative world will throw at me to get there?

My answer to that is - Your damn right I will!

Q: Are you published? If so how many times? If not how come?

A:  I have had two acceptances so far in my two years of writing so I suppose yes I am published. I'm not a very well known writer but I am still a writer and am earning my way!

I have been thinking of getting a publisher as I want to release a collection of short stories in book form so by getting a publisher might help me with this!

Then again, I could always self publish!

I am undecided so far!

Q: Do you have a pen name? If so what is it? If not have you thought about having one?

A: No I don't have a pen name though I have thought about having one. I have a series of Erotic stories that I want to release and I thought about using a pen name for this.

It's still in the works at the moment so I cannot comment too much on it yet!

Q: What in writing are you really good at? Really bad at?

A: Romance I feel I suck at completely haha though people tell me that I write romance very well I still feel like its a pile of shit haha

Romance is out of my comfort zone but I feel thats what writing is all about. Writers should step out of their comfort zones every now and again as it broadens their minds and introduces them to new possible ideas!

As in regards to what I'm good at, I'd have to say Horror/Paranormal and overall dramatic writing. I know how the saying goes 'write what you know' and I do agree with it as I do write what I know!

I grew up with all things horror orientated so I know what I write about without having to search my brain to hard. But like I said before - I also like a challenge, so by stepping out of my comfort zone I can get the challenge that I require.

There are so many different genres that I have yet to dip my toe in!

Character Studies: Hayden and Nik

Hayden Barnes came into town pretending to be Jake's wife. She almost had him convinced. Then Carly outed her and Ric to everyone. Hayden overheard who Jake really is. She was going to tell and Nikolas had her shot. Hayden went into a coma. She came out not remembering anything. Hayden now overheard again who Jake is after she has been kinda falling for Nik.

Nikolas Cassadine was involved with Brooklynn. & he and Elizabeth did an on/off love dance. & then he and Britt fell in love. Britt's lies came out. Nik left her. Britt schemed to get him back. It came out so Nik dumped her again. He wanted Liz but she moved on. Now he's involved in a tangled web with Hayden. He also rigged a mayoral election and stole ELQ from Michael.

What I Like. Hayden's bitch side. Hayden's fun. I didn't care for her much at first but she's grown on me. I like Nik and Spencer. I liked him and Britt.

What I Dislike. Nikolas. He's actually better now that he's bad. He bored me before. I don't like that he had Hayden shot tho.

Overall. I like the pairing. It's growing on me. I also like Hayden and don't care much for Nik.

Character Studies: Lucas and Brad

Since I've been watching Lucas has chased Brad til finding out Brad helped Britt use Lulu's embroyo. & then kinda flirted with Felix. Then he and Brad fell in love. He found out  Brad was married. & I guess they're working that out. He also decided to be a doctor.

Brad has helped Britt try to trick Patrick with Lulu's embroyo. He's flirted with Felix. He's been in love and living with Lucas. He's become best friends with Britt.

What I Like. Lucas is a nice guy. He makes Brad nicer.

What I Dislike. I wanted Lucas to be with Felix. The Brad is married crap. Brad in general.

Overall. The pairing I don't like. Lucas is boring. I don't like Brad. They need to go somewhere with their s/l or drop them and have one of them get with Felix.

Up next are Hayden and Nikolas followed by Bobbie Spencer and Scott Baldwin.

Character Studies: Kiki and Patrick

Since I've been watching Kiki has went from marrying Morgan to being with Michael to going back to Morgan. She's also had problems with her mom.

Patrick was with Robin who's his daughter's mom. He cheated with a crazy lady. He and Robin split and got back together. Lisa, the crazy lady, harassed them for months before she was killed. They thought Robin died. Patrick dated a woman named Britt. Soon she was mean to his daughter so he kicked her to the curb. A little bit later, he and Sabrina got together. At their wedding, Robin came back. He ended up back with Robin. Heard Sabrina was pregnant. Robin left. Patrick and Sabrina's baby died. Patrick was single for awhile before ending up with Sam. Now they're engaged.

What I Like. Kiki had some spunk at first. Patrick and Sabrina's s/l.

What I Dislike. Kiki is just dull and wishy washy and boring now. So is Patrick.

Overall. I don't care much for either one of them.

Up next are Lucas Jones and Brad Cooper followed by Hayden Barnes and Nikolas Cassadine.

Character Studies: Maxie and Nathan

Since I've been watching Maxie Jones has broken Spinelli's heart. Has married Matt Hunter who ended up in jail. Went on a journey and came back in love with Levi. Ended up in an explosion thing and with Nathan. She's also went from fashion person to wedding planner.

Nathan West came on the show to get Silas for killing his sister Nina who ended up not being dead. & their mom who turned out not to be Nathan's mom ended up being the one who put Nina in a coma. He started to fall in love with Maxie. They got back together. Broke up. He kinda flirted with Ellie. & then he and Maxie got back together.

What I Like. One of my favorite couples on the show. Maxie's part of one of the best friendships on the show.

What I Dislike. They've gotten boring.

Overall. I like Nathan. I don't like Maxie but she's better when they're together.

Up next are Patrick Drake and Kiki Jerome

Character Studies: Kristina Davis and Ric Lansing

Since I've been watching Kristina Davis has suffered abuse at the hands of Kieffer Bauer. She's also been harassed by Keiffer's father til Mac shot him. Then she flirted with Johnny to get back at her father Sonny. & crushed on Ethan Lovett before leaving to go to jail. She came back doing a show that unbeknownst to her the son of her father's enemy was helping her out with. She fell in love with the son. Not sure what happened with that except he later died. & she left again but now she's back.

& Ric Lansing has been sold as the one pulling the strings on Julian. He was sent to witness protection. Only to come back out and pay Hayden to pretend to be Jake's wife. Carly brought that scam to life at the Nurse's Ball. Ric turned to Nina to try to steal her money. & kissed Madeline a few times. All that blew up in his face as well.

What I Like. I loved Kristina and Ethan's scenes. Liked the Mob Princess thing. Loved Keiffer and Warren going down.

What I Dislike. Ric in general. I hated the Nina baby thing. I also didn't like Kristina and Trey.

Overall. I don't like either character.

Character Studies: Julian and Alexis

Since I've been watching Alexis has went from a mutual attraction with Mac to a thing with Sean and a thing with Julian. She's been a hovering mother to Kristina and Molly a few times as well.

Julian has been known as Derek Wells. Came out to be Julian. Fell in love with Alexis. Discovered he's Sam and Lucas's father. Been in and out of the mob and enemies with Sonny.

What I Like. Alexis is good with her kids at times. She's less strict now that they're all three older. She's supportive of her kids' relationships with their siblings. Julian really seems to love his kids and Sam's mom.

What I Dislike. The pairing is dull now. I don't care much for either of them now.

Overall. I like Alexis at times. I use to like Julian. Now I don't like either. XD

Character Studies: Carly & Sonny Corinthos

Since I've been watching Carly has been married to and divorced from Jax. In a relationship with Johnny, kinda in a thing with Todd and Julian when he was Derek Wells, with Sonny, and she kissed Jake. Oh and she and Franco were engaged. She has also dealt with her son going to jail and her other son being bipolar.

Sonny has been with Carly, Kate, Brenda, and Olivia. He's had explosive feuds with Johnny and Julian and Franco. He's had friend moments with Julian. He's done wild, out of control things. He's gotten reigned back in. He's slept with Ava to have Avery. He's killed a couple of people and threatened Ava.

What I Like. Carly and Sonny together. Carly's always there for her friends. It's clear Sonny loves people even when he makes bad choices.

What I Dislike. Sonny's reckless choices especially when he doesn't have an enforcer. Carly is a bit over the top at times. I hated the Carly and Franco pairing.

Overall. It took me awhile to like Carly but now I do. I also like Sonny most of the time.

Character Studies: Dante and Lulu Falconeri

When I started watching Dante Falconeri had turned Michael in for the murder of Claudia. He and Lulu have been in love the whole time even tho he had an attraction to Brenda and Carly sent Brooklynn after him. & he cheated once. She drugged him and they made out. Dante also had to deal with his partner Ronnie turning out to be a killer. He's had to deal a lot with trying to fit into the Corinthos family.

Lulu has had to try to balance being a wild Spencer and a motherly wife. She finally had a child. Her and Maxie have had a few problems like her trying to pass her baby off as Lulu's.

what I Like. Lulu is very loyal to her father. Dante tries to be a good brother. Overall they're a good couple. I like that they had some drama tho. He cheated with Valerie.

What I Don't Like. They bore me. Yeah they're a cool couple but they bore me.

Overall. I don't like them seperate or together. Hopefully the drama will come out and improve them soon.

Next up are Sonny and Carly.

Character Studies: Morgan Corinthos and Ava Jerome

Since I've been watching Morgan has went from loving his brother Michael more than anything to being jealous and hating him and now to trying to be close to him again. Morgan has liked and been with Kiki. Fell madly in love with her mom. Everyone thought Ava died. He and Kiki got back together. Ava came back into town as Denise. Denise and Morgan fell into bed. It came out that Ava was alive. Morgan dropped her. Kiki dropped him. Now he's dealing with Sonny being shot.

Ava has came into town under an alias. Killed Connie. Goaded Sonny into killing AJ. It came out somewhere around that time that she's Ava Jerome. She was sent to jail to wait on a trial. She, Sonny, and Julian broke out. Ava was presumed dead and came back as Denise. She still loved Morgan and they hooked up, but he left her. She's also been with Franco and had a few moments with Silas while she's been on I think. It came out that Ava was Denise. Now she's trying to get back into the mob. Oh and she had cancer and Silas saved her.

What I Like. Morgan was one of my favorite kids on the show. I like the Ava and Morgan pairing.

What I Dislike. I don't like the Morgan and Kiki pairing. I also just don't really like either of them especially Ava lol.

Overall. Like I said just not very into either of them.

Up next are Dante and Lulu followed by Sonny and Carly.

Character Studies: Sabrina Santiago and Michael Quartermaine

Since I've been watching Michael has been in Pentonville for the protective killing of his step-mom. Then he was released. He had to live with his brother for awhile. Jason and Sam introduced him to Sam's friend Abby. They fell in love. Later she was killed. I don't recall a lot of that storyline. Then a little while later Michael met Starr. They had a little romance. Then he met Kiki and there began their love/hate. When they found out Kiki wasn't a Q, they got together. Sonny, michael's dad killed AJ, his bio dad. Michael was furious. He even took his little sister Avery away only to give her back when Sabrina convinced him to. They've been in like for awhile. & michael has went from Corinthos to Quartermaine to questionable.

Sabrina has been in love with Patrick. They finally got together only for him to find out Robin was really alive and leave her for Robin. Sabrina found out she was pregnant. They lost the baby due to being ran off the road. Sabrina sort of got back together with her ex Carlos I guess. Later she got with Michael. Carlos died.

What I like. Sabrina aside from trying to drug Ava has always been mild tempered and sweet. Part of me will always ship her and Patrick. & Michael is an amazing, protective person. He's second only to Jason.

What I Don't Like. This big bond Michael felt with AJ. The Sabrina drugging Ava s/l.

Overall. Two characters that I adore the hell out of. I think they could be a super couple one day if they let them stay together. Hope so. Unless she's going back to Patrick.

Up next are Morgan and Ava followed by Dante and Lulu.

Character Studies: Tracy&Paul

Since I've been watching Tracy Quartermaine has been with Luke before some kind of blackmailed marriage to Anthony Zacharra. After Anthony died, she fell back to Luke. He broke her heart and they mutually decided to end it. Now she kind of has feelings for Paul who she was married to/had a kid with/one night stand with when he first came back to town.

Paul Hornsby came back into town. He tried to make amends with his son. He became DA and has been working undercover in the mob. He's also blackmailing Ava.

What I Like. Love Tracy's personality. Loved her and Luke together. Love her and Lulu's bond.

What I Dislike. I want to like Paul but I just don't. I tried. I don't like them splitting Tracy and Luke up but I guess they had to.

Overall. Love the hell out of Tracy. Not digging Paul. I guess that might change.

Character Studies: Nina Lansing and Franco Baldwin

Since I've been watching Franco has taunted Jason. Sent someone to watch over Michael and Michael ended up getting raped by the man. & then made it look like he raped Sam. Then acted like he was Jason when Jason died. & then gotten engaged to Carly only for them to split up at their wedding. He outed Sonny killing AJ and the cover up to Michael. & then he fell in love with Nina and is on his way to redemption.
Nina has been in love with Silas after she's woken up from a coma. Broken up he and Sam. Moved on to Franco. Kidnapped Avery. Married Ric. Moved on with Franco again. Think she could be on her way to redemption as well.

What I Like. They can be funny and they really love each other.

What I Dislike. I didn't like the whole Ric and Nina thing. I didn't like whole brain injury to explain away everything Franco did to Jason thing either. Or the insistance on calling Franco, Franco Baldwin. I guess they can't use Robert Frank maybe, but that's suppose to be his name. Ugh.

Overall. I don't really like either character. Hoping they improve. Tho they can be fun to watch.

Up next are Paul and Tracy followed by Michael and Sabrina.

Character Studies: Dillon Quatermaine and Valerie Spencer

Valerie entered the show while being kidnapped by Fluke. She went with Lulu and Dante to save her mother only to have her mother to die. She was invited to live with Lulu and Dante. Lulu convinced her to move in with Lulu's brother Nik. Lulu and Val are cousins btw. Nik isn't Val's cousin tho. Valerie and Dante messed around. Dante decided to stay with his wife and not tell her he cheated. Valerie and Dillon decided to start going out. She's trying to be friends with Maxie and Lulu now.
Since I've been watching Dillon has sort of chased around Lulu while trying to make up with his father, be there for his mother, date Val, and make a movie.

What I Like. Val and Dillon are both nice characters.

What I Dislike. Neither really stand out. It's like they're both cling ons. No real stories without Dante or Lulu.

Overall. I like both both of them. I like that they're together. I like the Vante thing tho and the Lulu and Dillon thing. I can't wait to see where those lead. I hope Lulu and Dante end up back together tho.

Up next are Nina and Franco followed by Paul and Tracy. Paul and Tracy are Dillon's parents.

Character Studies: Anna Devane and Jordan Ashford

Jordan came to town as an undercover agent in Julian's mob. She switched teams to Sonny's mostly for TJ.
Anna has been on the show for years but since I've been watching she's been the police commisioner and then an FBI agent I want to say.
Jordan was in love with Sean. Anna with Duke but she spent a night with Sloane when Duke died.

What I Like. Anna is kind of bad ass. She also gets along with Sam.

What I Dislike. I don't think Jordan's a good mom. I don't think either add much to the show. Anna is starting to tho. Jordan butts in on TJ too much when she shouldn't. Anna wouldn't let Jordan out when she begged.

Overall. I can't say I care for either of them.

Character Studies: Molly&TJ

Molly Lansing Davis is the daughter of Alexis Davis and Ric Lansing. TJ Ashford is her boyfriend and also the son of Jordan Ashford and he doesn't know this but Sean who's not on the show now. Since I've been watching they've met and fallen in love. Had few storylines.

What I Like. Molly is smart. They love each other. Molly rebels. Molly does what she knows is okay to do despite everything. TJ resents Jordan for not being there. I know people don't like it but she did just send him off to Sean. He does have the right to be mad that she hid things from him even if her intentions were noble.

What I Dislike. I'm not a huge TJ fan. At times I could take him or leave him.

Overall. Like I said about TJ but I love the pairing. & I absolutely love Molly. She's one of my favorite girls.

Character Study: Elizabeth Webber

Since I've watched the show Elizabeth Webber has kissed Jason a few times. She's flirted with her best friend Patrick's brother Matt and another doctor named Euin. I think he turned out to be evil. She's been involved with Molly's dad Ric. She's also flirted with Nikolas. She was also involved with Jason's brother AJ. & now she's engaged to Jake.

What I Like. The actress plays the hell out of the part. I like the Liz and Nik pairing. I was kinda a Liz and AJ fan.

What I Don't Like. Liz keeping Jason from his family. Liz being so obsessive and needy. Her acting like she's hardly ever done anything wrong. Everyone loves her and she does nothing to deserve it. Just acts like she does.

Overall. I just really can not stand Liz! She's the only female who hasn't changed my feelings since I've watched the show.

Up next are Molly and TJ followed by TJ's mom Jordan and her friend Anna.

Character Study: Sam Morgan

Since I've been watching it Sam was with Jason til they started having problems. Then she got close with John and kissed him. She reconciled with Jason but then he "died." Then she got with Silas and they were together awhile. She started going on adventures with Patrick and they fell in love. Now they live together.

What I Like. She's a badass woman who can hold her own. She's not whiny or overly selfish like other women on the show. The Jasam pairing.

What I Don't Like. She's had her bitch moments. The Sam and Silas pairing. They've made her character more boring at times with Patrick.

Overall. I just love Sam! She's my favorite female on the show.

Next up is Elizabeth Webber who is Jason's current fiancee. I will follow her with TJ and Molly.

Character Study: Jason Morgan

So now I'm going to be doing character reviews on people from my favorite soap opera General Hospital. I'm going to start with my favorite character Jason "Jake" Morgan.

Since I've been watching: Jason went to jail to protect Michael and ended up killing the man who raped Michael. Michael is Jason's nephew. Jason married Sam. They had problems because he thought another man raped Sam and got her pregnant. He kissed Elizabeth a few times. He got back with Sam. He "died." He was kept alive in a clinic by Helena, an evil lady. His old friend Robin was sent to save him. He escaped the clinic. He came back to Port Charles but he doesn't remember who he is. Now he's fallen in love with Liz again. His son was also brought back "from the dead." Now Liz knows who he really is. So does her good friend Nikolas and his mom Laura. No one is telling yet tho. I can't wait til it's revealed.

What I Love. Jason protects the ones he loves. He's bad ass but he has a good heart. I love the Jason and Sam pairing. I love how nice Jason is to the people he loves.

What I Hate. This Jake stuff being dragged out so long. The Liz and Jason pairing. When he didn't know whether or not he'd accept Sam's son who turned out to also be his.

Overall. Jason is my favorite character. I adore him. I'm reminded of that daily now. Can't wait til he remembers he's Jason and not Jake.

Character Study: Elizabeth Wakefield

Elizabeth Wakefield is the series other main character. Liz is a bit of a flighty party girl-think nice Jessica from last year- at the beginning of the series. She buckles down some. Only to go in and out of the flighty phase again later in the series.

What I Love. Liz is one of my favorite characters in Sweet Valley. In this series I love her and Conner together. I love her friendship with Tia. I like her friendship with Maria. I like her relationship with Jeff at times. I like that Conner cares about Liz. I just really enjoy Liz.

What I Hate. Sometimes Liz is annoying. She loves Conner. Then she doesn't. Then she does. & sometimes I don't like her with Jeff. & I don't like the whole Evan thing. Or the way she treats Maria sometimes either.

Overall. I just really enjoy Elizabeth like I said.

Next up is General Hospital character studies.

Character Study: Jessica Wakefield

Jessica Wakefield is the series main character. Once a self-absorbed, entitled, shallow blonde in this series Jessica becomes a real person. She's more like someone you would hang out with in school or a popular girl you might admire instead of one you might be afraid of. Melissa took her down and while I hated that, it made her a better character.

What I Like. Jess and Maria become friends. Jess is actually a friend to people. The Jessica and Jeremy pairing. Jess goes through real problems. She comes out on top. It's awesome.

What I Hate. Jess went back to Will because of a little attraction. It was disgusting. I didn't like that. I also didn't like her fighting with Jade or Liz.

Overall. I love Jessica in this series!

Character Study: Melissa Fox

Melissa Fox enters the series in the first book. She introduces herself as Will's devoted girlfriend. She turns the whole school on Jessica after finding out she hooked up with Will. Melissa schemes and manipulates throughout the whole series. Eventually everyone but Will turns on her for it.

What I Love. Every series needs a bitch I guess and she's a good one.

What I Hate. Melissa sucks. She gets mad at Jessica and only Jessica over Will. She doesn't do anything but act stupid when Will cheats on her with Erika. She's basically a weakling who acts strong. She tries to reinvent Ken as Will but gets mad that he still loves Maria. Then she gets into it with Maria. & she acts like Will is all she has even though all her friends are more loyal than he is except Lila maybe.

Overall. Melissa is a horrible character with repetitve storylines but she's a good bitch which makes it worth it I guess.

Character Study: Will Simmons

Will enters in book one where he cheats on his girlfriend Melissa with Jessica. Melissa finds out and they trash Jess all over school. Will and Jess briefly date later in the series after he pursues her for awhile. Then he drops her for Melissa who ends up breaking his heart a few books later. They get back together only for him to cheat again. & then they get back together so Melissa can cheat. That one doesn't drag out and they get back together to remain together til the end of the series.

What I Like. Will does put the rumors to rest about Jess and he does end up being more friendly toward Ken. Otherwise nothing lol.

What I Dislike. He supposedly likes Jessica so much yet once he gets her he doesn't appreciate her. & he doesn't really like Erika, the other girl he cheats with, she's just hot and strokes his ego. & he acts like he loves Melissa but they never get along or anything. He's just not a good character. I am so glad Jess ended up with Jeremy.

Overall. I just really don't like him. He's a horrible character. I guess every series needs a few. He does mature a bit over the series but only a bit.

Next up is Melissa Fox followed by Jessica Wakefield and followed by Elizabeth Wakefield which will end this book series studies. Thanks :)

Character Study: Todd Wilkins

Todd Wilkins is Elizabeth's ex-boyfriend and Megan's boyfriend for awhile in this series.

What I Like. He and Liz aren't together. I like them together but not as much as her and Conner or her and Sam in college. He gets with Megan. He's still mentioned but not a lot.

What I Hate. He should be mentioned a bit more and not just as Liz's ex. He's also suppose to be Ken's best friend.

Overall. Todd doesn't do a lot for the series. Not really impressed. He comes back around a lot in college tho and he's cooler.

Next up is Will Simmons followed by Melissa Fox.

Character Study: Megan Sandborne

Megan enters the series in book one as a friend of Elizabeth's who invites Liz to stay in her home. Liz quickly finds out Megan's brother is Conner. Elizabeth and Megan are really close while they live together. They seem to be friendly when Liz is with Conner. Over the course of the series it fizzles out. Megan also dated Elizabeth's ex Todd.

What I Like. Megan's sweet. I love her and Conner's relationship. I also like that she asks Elizabeth to move in with her even though it's a little weird. Elizabeth's friends kinds makes her honorary part of their group.

What I Hate. They go over and over in the beginning and some more how Megan acts just like Liz but younger. Is that why Todd goes out with her? Just can't get over Liz.

Overall. I like her character and how often they show her in the series. A little more of her would have been okay. I see why she's in the book though.

Up next is Todd followed by Will Simmons.

Character Study: Annie Whitman

Annie is said to be one of Jessica's best friends in this series. I guess the ghost writers forgot that Jessica was only nice to her after she bullied her into a suicide attempt the previous year. Regardless she never judges Jessica. She occasionally mingles with the other girls tho. & when we see her in this series she's often talking to Jade.
What I Love. Annie's a sweet girl. I wouldn't have complained if she'd have been a bigger character in the book. Both of the twins apparently like her now. She could have been like another Tia.

What I Hate. Not enough about her. I just really like Annie. I wonder what happened to her and Ricky but maybe they explained that in a book I didn't read. I don't know.

Overall. I think I've said it. Annie's sweet and a good friend despite everything.

Up next is Megan and she will be followed by Todd. :)

Character Studys: Matt and Josh

I've decided to do Matt and Josh together since neither are major, major characters.

What I Like. Josh actually has a bit of a role when he and Jade hook up. I love that Jade doesn't care that he says he got somewhere with her either. I wonder why Lila didn't pull a Melissa over it but she's really weak in this series. & both guys do kinda try to get Will to wise up before he does. I like that.

What I Hate. The series could really do without Matt. I know Will needs two best friends since Melissa has two but like her's one doesn't serve any purpose at all and the other only does at times. It's just weird.

Overall. I actually kinda like Josh at times and even Matt too. They're mostly a waste tho.

Character Study: Cherie Reese

Cherie is introduced as early as book one but she's pretty much just a lapdog of Melissa's til Melissa screws her over. Then Cherie gets a more promiment role for a book or two.

What I Love. Cherie is the most in your face one of Melissa and her friends.

What I Hate. She's a bitch. She doesn't often show any personality and when she does it's awful. I also don't like how like she's so anti Jessica and then they have Jessica sitting with her and Gina one day randomly. & when Melissa turns on her she never apologizes to Jessica. It's never like okay now we know Melissa sucks. Let's call a truce. It almost seems like Melissa and Jessica have an unspoken truce toward the end of the series. Jessica seems to feel that way anyway. Anyway Cherie's awful but I like her better than Melissa.

Overall: You could almost do without this character too but just almost at least.

Next up is Matt followed by Josh followed by Annie Whitman.

Character Study: Amy Sutton

Despite being a fairly major character in other series Amy is really in the background in this one. In the past she set trends. In this series she's just depicted as a mindless follower. That's when she's mentioned which isn't a lot.

What I Love. Never was a big fan of the character so I don't miss her very much.

What I Hate. They could have said she moved and the series would have been almost exactly the same. She's just a useless character.

Overall. I don't think the ghost writers bothered to read the previous series or Francine changed things. This series Amy is way different.

Next up is Cherie Reese who will be followed by Matt Wells who will be followed by Josh Radinsky.

Character Study: Gina Cho

Gina is one of Melissa's minions. They say she's her friend but I don't see where Melissa has friends besides Cherie and Will. She's a bigger part of the series at times and then she fades out and repeat.

What I Love. Nothing really. i don't like her. I don't think she's a nice person and they never really give her a storyline.

What I Hate. She just goes on with Melissa no matter what til Cherie turns on Melissa. Then Cherie becomes queen bee. It's weird.

Overall. I just plain out don't like her. The series would be fine without her too.

Next up is Amy Sutton followed by Cherie Reese.

Character Study: Lila Fowler

I guess at one time I liked this character but honestly I can not stand her now. She's almost human at times and loyal in the original series but in the spinoffs she's a total bitch. Lila is Jessica's best friend in every series except Senior Year. She doesn't have a major role in senior year either.

What I Love. She seems to still care about Jess in a twisted way. She stands up to Melissa as the series continues. She even helps Jess out a few times.

What I Hate. She flip flops between wanting to follow Jess and wanting to follow Melissa. She's overjoyed when Melissa chooses her and completely backstabs her best friend. She comes around to Jess when it looks convienant tho. Also I liked her and Josh together, and they totally dropped that without really mentioning why.

Overall. I just don't like Lila in the series. I just don't. Next up is Gina Cho followed by Amy Sutton.

Character Study: Ken Matthews

Ken Matthews is part of the series from the get go. Apparently he's not the super popular ultra jock who's best friends with Todd and who Jess kinda likes and Liz respects anymore. He's really depressed over the death of his girlfriend prior to the series and quits the team. He gets paired up with Maria in book five and they slowly become friends and later a couple. She helps him get his glory back. As soon as she feels insecure he leaves her tho and hooks up with Melissa Fox. He and Melissa break up soon and later he gets Maria back. They end the series together.

What I Like. He actually seems like a good guy when he's getting into Maria. He develops some in the series.

What I Hate. There are so many things that don't make sense with his storylines. He's mad at his dad because he's not there for him one day and the next he's not. He goes from Maria to Melissa because Melissa cries over Will one day. They don't really have anything together but he tries anyway. He never sits down and talks about anything. He just goes on making things harder for example when he doesn't just ask Maria on a date.

Overall. I guess I like the character okay but he and his storylines are nothing special.

Next up is Lila Fowler followed by Gina Cho.

Character Study: Angel Desmond

We meet in Angel in book two. Everyone comments on how gorgeous he is. He's obviously very in love with Tia also. He's a nice guy too.

What I Love. I think Tia has a stronger relationship with him. You can tell they love each other. He's nice to Tia's friends too. He's also friends with Conner and Andy I guess.

What I Hate. The gambling storyline. He loses it all in like one night after like two nights there. It's just not realistic. Also he and Tia break up because she cheats on him ten seconds after he leaves even tho she was always afraid he'd do that. Then they totally forget about that like 15 books later and decide they broke up because of the distance. & his dad seems like a nice guy. Then you read that he's a douche. It's weird.

Overall. I like Angel. I think he's a good guy. They shouldn't have had Tia cheat on him. I guess that added more drama and they needed to get rid of him tho. I don't know. I'm glad they didn't last.

Next up is Ken Matthews. He will be followed by Lila Fowler.

Character Study: Trent

Trent enters the series in the 4th book I believe as Jeremy's best friend. He goes on to date Tia. Tia originally cheats on Angel with Trent. They have a real relationship later on. He kinda crushes on Jessica too which causes a break up of Jeremy and his friendship and one with Tia as well. Trent and Tia make up tho. Later so do Trent and Jeremy.

What I Like. He's funny. There for Jeremy. Just a good guy.

What I Hate. The crush on Jess thing. He's kinda whipped with Tia. She kinda does whatever she wants and then gets mad at him for it. It bugs me.

Overall. I like the character. I don't mind most of his storylines. I need my memory refreshed on him.

Next up is Angel who will be followed by Ken, Maria's boyfriend.

Character Study: Six Hansen

Six is Andy's girlfriend in two or three books. She goes on to help him out in deciding to tell his parents he's gay. I believe she essentially drops off the face of the earth afterward before making her final appearance on Prom Night.

What I Love. She's there for Andy. She really likes Andy tho I don't understand why. He doesn't seem particularly handsome and they don't talk much before she starts throwing herself at him. I think she turns out to be a good friend anyway.

What I Hate. They could have given her a boyfriend and made her part of their group.

Overall. She's just a minor character that they use to talk about Andy's sexuality. They could have done a little more. I wouldn't have liked her to be as big a character as Maria or Tia tho. I didn't like her that much.

Alright next up is Trent. He's followed by Tia's first boyfriend in the series Angel. Stay tuned!

Character Study: Jade Wu

Jade enters in book one as a good friend of Jessica's. She was a shy, sweet girl who had trouble standing up to her father last year. Now she's some wild, outgoing, bold, sexy party girl who's parents have been divorced for years. They kept around the strict father part tho. She doesn't get a more major role til she starts working at HOJ with Jessica and dates Jeremy. She goes on to date Evan who she finishes out the series with eventually.

What I Love. She's sort of the original SVH's Jessica. She's a bitch but it's a cover up to avoid getting hurt. She's really supportive and caring toward Evan when they're together. I guess she learned from her Jeremy malfunction.

What I Hate. There are a ton of things with her storyline that don't add up. They completely dropped the Jade Wu from the original like I said earlier. First she quit First and Ten where she worked with Maria and then she got fired. It's like the writers don't care enough to keep up with her. She drops Jessica just to pick back up with her like ten books later. She won't just talk to Jeremy. It's like she doesn't make it clear she wants a commitment then she does only to retract it. They might have worked if uh hello they'd bothered talking about anything. Jeremy seemed into her at first too. Then he just didn't. It was like yeah hey Jade but I'm really all about Jessica. I feel like they could have tried to make their connection worthwhile. Jeremy is one of the sweetest guys in the series. & I feel like the writers never really did try with Jade. Maybe it changes tho. I'll check out the rest of the series again to see. Maybe I missed something.

Overall: I just feel they totally wasted her character and besides Jeremy needing someone with to temporarily get over Jess, and Evan needing to stop his Liz obsession, Jade could have been pulled. & no one would miss her. Plus she's a huge bitch. Sorry I guess I never realized it but I don't like her.

Why did you start writing?
When I was younger I had trouble reading, I'm talking even up until I was 8 or 9. Eventually I got sick of the books I was able to read. I wanted something more, something like Lord of the Rings; so I decided I was going to write a book that I would enjoy for the reading level I was at; but if I was writing before that I can't say for sure- it's been a long time.

How old were you when you started writing?
Again, not really sure- maybe 8 or 9? Probably about there.

How did you feel when you got your first thing published? What was it? My first work was called With Three We Shall Be. It was a short poly romance that I put a lot of time into. I submitted it the day I turned 18, and was lucky enough to have a publisher contact me about it. While it needed quite some work the editor who reached out to me saw some potential in it, she made some suggestions and I made some changed. It was accepted a month later.
I was thrilled! In shock but thrilled! I couldn't believe it. I spent five years improving my craft for that day, and it was finally there.

How did you come up with your pen name?
Depends which one you mean. I've had two., The first was Kelly D.Smith- why that one? Well, it's simple.
Kelly=super common name
Smith=super common name
I grabbed the name out of thin air in a matter of seconds. But the thing was, I wasn't happy with it. I spent a year thinking I should just get over it and that I shouldn't change it. Just recently I decided to change it. I am now Kitty Jones; and honestly I love it! I'm so much happier, and when it comes down to it, that's what matters. There is no point in sticking with a pen name you hate.

What's your favorite thing you've written?
I would have to say it's a tie between two works. Both I'm trying to find a publisher for right now.
The first is about the Devils daughter and her choices in life now that she is a grown woman. Since her mother was from our world she urns to come up here; and since her father is always in need of help she tries to convince him to let her help. As a father the Devil doesn't want to see his daughter get hurt, but he lets her go; on the condition that she has a demon with her to keep an eye on this.
The second is typical urban fantasy type of book with a twist; I won't give said twist away, but I will say it's inspired by a very popular TV show ;-)

What's your favorite character you've written about?
Over the past 12-15 years I've had such wonderful characters, but I would say my favorites are the ones I write a series about. I don't write the series about them because they are my favorite; but more so they become my favorite because I get to know them more and more. I get to see them grow.

I understand you do ghost writing as well. What do you like and dislike about that?
Ghost writing is another wonderful thing that has happened to me! For anyone who doesn't know, in its simplest ghost writing is a form of freelance writing. I've been doing lots of informational posts about it on my blog, Here; or you can always leave me a comment if you have questions and I will get back to you ASAP!
But anyway, there are lots of great things about it, firstly it's a writing career that you can make a (somewhat) livable wage off, and I know for a lot of authors (even award winners) that is hard. Second, ghost writing has been a great way for me to get feedback as well as explore new genres and see what is popular.
The major downside to it of course is that you give up all rights to it that and sometimes you get really mean clients.

Do any of your characters resemble people you know in real life?
I have a lot of characters that I personally relate to. I've had a couple that resemble my parents; but that's about it.

How do you feel about having something in print?
When it first happened it made me feel like I was a "real" author. Now, well I honestly forget. It's really rewarding to know that I've written something long enough that could be put in to print, but I'm always looking for the next goal. To be in major bookstores, to be a best seller, to be able to help other authors- there is always something. Right now my main focus is to just get better at writing. As much as it means to me that I've been so lucky in my career and do have my book in print (I actually keep a copy on my bedside table; something I smile at whenever I see) I just want to make sure it isn't the last one!

Character Study: Andy Marsden

Andy Marsden enters in book two and he's seriously a really likeable guy. Nice, sweet, funny, fun, always there for everyone else. He's a right hand man for Tia and Conner which he later comes to regret when he realizes he's gay, and none of his friends will bother with him. Usually Liz would be tearing herself apart to talk to someone about something like this and Tia too, but they're too wrapped up over Conner. Andy deals with it alone until he talks to Six, his ex and his parents. I really like Six too. Andy has his share of heartache until he finally ends up with Dave who's a lot less secure with his sexuality than Andy.

What I Love. Andy is seriously one of the best guys in the series. He's smart, nice, and funny. He's there for everyone. He's amazing.

What I Hate. Everyone treats him like he's just there and always going to be. Tia and Angel don't seem to at first but then Tia does. Conner kinda treats everyone at crap at times. Liz and Jess act like he's always someone who's just there except when Liz is getting to know him and Tia in the beginning. Same with Maria. It's like yeah he's there but Tia's the one threatening her friendship with Liz in the beginning. Hopefully somewhere along the line I'm wrong. I'll read and reread and find out.

Overall. I absolutely love Andy if you haven't guessed lol. I just never realized it. & I like that he occasionally gets his own storylines. Like the writers know he's important even if his friends don't. Good going :)

Character Study: Tia Ramirez

Tia Ramirez enters in book one as a good friend of Conner's and becomes friends with Liz in the second one. They begin to get close. Tia starts becoming closer to Jess in the second book though she stands up for her from day one. Tia is suppose to be best friends with Conner, but they have a more low key friendship. She seems to really be closer to Andy and even Liz at times. Tia and Elizabeth suffer a setback when she catches Tia and Conner together behind her back. They pretty much gloss it over though which makes no sense. Elizabeth never glossed anything over with Todd. Tia cheats on Angel even tho she fears he'll do it to her. & she seems more equal with him than Trent. & she moves on quickly to kissing Conner. It's weird.

What I love. Tia's personality. She's really smart, sweet, and fun. & I like her interactions with the twins. Like she likes them but she isn't overly impressed. It's nice to see. I also love that she's like one of the guys.

What I Hate. Her kissing Conner. She never acts attracted to him til she gets lonely and then she convinces herself she's head over heels. Then it just gets dropped. Total bust storyline. Also the Berkely thing? When Evan wants to go and she kinda does so she won't make any kinda decision so he won't get it. That's what it seems like anyway.

Overall. I really like Tia. She's one of the best characters. I wish they didn't bust on her storylines. I wish she hadn't kissed Conner while he was with Liz tho I like that he didn't dump Liz for her. That would have been too cliche.

Character Study: Maria Slater

Maria Slater.
Maria is the main character Elizabeth's best friend. She and Elizabeth don't start out uber tight. Maria hooks up with a guy she can't tell Elizabeth likes, is devastated when he dumps her, and even more so when he falls for Liz. Maria is also kinda jealous of Tia. Maria later hooks up with Ken Matthews and they fall in love tho they have a bumpy road.

What I Love About Her. She helps out Ken a lot. I love how it drew out that they got together and even drew out some their first breakup.

What I Hate. She stops calling Liz out on her shit when she gets with Ken. She also doesn't have a backbone about anything. Never speaks up. If she ever said how she felt things wouldn't be so hard on her.

Overall. Maria doesn't add a lot to the series. Sometimes she gets her own storyline and others she's more like a backdrop. I like her character, but she needs to grow some balls. Lol.

Next up is Tia Ramirez, a good friend of both Elizabeth and Jessica. I will follow it up with Tia's good friend who's also friends with the twins, Andy Marsden. After that I'm doing an interview with a friend of mine so keep an eye out for that. This is subject to be juggled around a bit :)

Interview With Karina Kantas

I sent some questions to writer Karina Kantas and she answered them promptly. Here is a look at that.

Karina Kantas is the author of exciting MC fiction. Thrillers involving outlaw motorcycle clubs.. She also writes short stories and when her imagination is working over time, thought provoking, dark flash fiction.

Karina writes in the genres of fantasy, romance, sci-fi, horror, and thrillers, just to name a few.

How old were you when you started writing?
 I was writing stories in my junior school. I started taking it more seriously when I was 13 and began working on my first novel , In Times of Violence which was originally a short story.

Tell me a little bit about the latest thing you're working on.
I'm working on book one of a fantasy series called Illusional Reality. I'm hoping  to have this published in the new year.

What's your favorite book you've written?
 In Times of  Violence holds a  special place in my heart as it is biographical, the same with Stone Cold. It's hard to pick a favorite as they are all my babies.

What's your favorite book someone else has written?
The series Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick is a book I will never forget. It's a YA Paranormal romance an easy read, with unforgettable characters. I think there is a plan to make a movie based on the book. As you can imagine I'm ecstatic.

Why did you start writing?
 I had so many stories and plots in my head and characters that wouldn't let me sleep. I was up early hours of the morning jotting down ideas and typing up scenes.

What genre do you write?
I specialize in MC thrillers. Novels about outlaw bikers.  Romance mixed with violence. Drugs mixed with brotherhood. They are about wanting respect. To feeling like you belong somewhere, to be free and not care about consequence. I also write short and flash fiction in the genres of horror, comedy, thrillers, romance, sci fi and fantasy. I have two collections of flash and short stories Heads & Tales and Undressed.

Do any of the characters in your books in any way resemble people in your life?
Yes, many of my characters are people I have met or have influenced my life. There is always a part of Karina in my books, whether it's experiences or a story someone has told me.

Character Study: Evan Plummer

Evan Plummer. He really likes Liz when they meet in Book 4. I don't think she realizes it though. Then in like book 15 he and Jess have like one date. She later acts like they dated for so long. & then while Conner's in rehab, he and Liz dance and kiss. When Conner finds out he chooses Alanna even though she sucks. Evan later dates Jade and they're on/off til the end of the series.

Things I Love About Him. He's a swimmer. He's really into causes. He's not super impressed about Jessica but he doesn't act unimpressed either.

Things I Hate. He goes from Elizabeth who's the total opposite of Jessica to Jade who is more like Jess but still different from both. He's kind of whiny. They're always saying he's one of Conner's best friends but he and Conner rarely hangout compared to how much time Conner spends with other people. Evan isn't a regular member of Tia's crowd either til he starts going out with Jade it seems like. He does hang out with Andy but doesn't everybody?

Overall: I like Evan but he's not in my top five favorites.

Character Study: Jeffrey French

Jeffrey French was Elizabeth's boyfriend in the Sweet Valley series. They get back together in the 38th book and break up on prom night in like the 46th book. Jeff was on the newspaper staff and sort of like goody goody and studious in the original series. In this one he's cooler, into music and some sports.

Things I Love About Him: He's more real than Todd. He loves Liz. He acts different in this series.

Things I Hate: Elizabeth acts all moony over him even though she admits she's never been in love with him in book 47. I'm not really recalling a lot about him right now. He doesn't contribute much to the series I don't feel.

Character: Jeremy Aames

Okay so Jeremy Aames really enters in book four of SVH: Senior Year. He's mentioned a couple of times in previous books. He preceeds to fall in love with Jessica even though last year's Jessica would have never caught his eye. He's a totally sweet guy. He barely knows her and he doesn't believe any lies about her. He breaks up with Jessica after they date from book seven to like book ten because he thinks she likes Will. In like book 18 or 19 he meets and starts liking Jade. He denies it to himself but he still likes Jess too. After awhile Jade sets it up so Jess and Jeremy will get back together. They remain so minus one breakup over his best friend kinda liking her til the end of the series. He's a really good guy and people just stomp all over him. He has a few moments tho. This series Jessica is almost good enough for him. Last series would have never been. He might have fallen for her anyway but it would have been a stretch. That almost makes me like him even more.

Next up tomorrow or later today I will do a character thing about Elizabeth's other boyfriend in the series Jeffrey French followed by one of someone the twins were both interested in Evan Plummer. Then we'll see where we are. Thanks for reading =]

First Character Study. Conner McDermott.

I've decided that I'm going to do a review of the Sweet Valley senior year series. Starting with how I feel about characters, plots, and things like that. Then I might review just the books themselves.

First of my list.
Conner McDermott. Bad boy. Alcoholic/former alcoholic. Is in a serious relationship with one of the main characters Elizabeth Wakefield before having one with Alanna Feldman before realizing he still cares about Liz but they can't be together.

Things I love about him. He's into music. He's a bad boy. He really cares about his sister. He falls for Elizabeth.

Things I hate: He downright hated Elizabeth in the first four books. He was attracted to her but he hated her. In the fifth he got more friendly. In the sixth he acted like they were full on dating while Elizabeth pushed him away. In the seventh he pushed her away. Wtf? Then he sulks about it for four books instead of manning up. Only talks to her because he feels obligated. Then he falls in love and is all romantic til like three books later when he cheats on her. & Liz still believes he loves her. Like she realizes he loves her because he cheats. How fucked up is that? & then right after that he starts drinking and pushes her away some more. Real mature Conner. & he is with someone else in rehab but it's not okay for Liz to lean on someone else. Hypocrite. I just don't get it.

Overall: When I was younger, I loved Elizabeth and Conner. At times I remember why. At times I question it.

Next time I will do Jeremy Aames. I'll probably do it later today or tomorrow. Tell me what you think.
